Editorial Policy
Every GiftsMedia guide should answer a real gifting question clearly before it tries to sell anything. Our editorial standard is usefulness first: direct answers, practical decision rules and honest context about who a gift suits.
How we structure advice
Question-led pages should answer the core query near the top, then add the nuance a shopper needs: examples, trade-offs, who the idea works for, who should skip it and what to consider before buying.
How products appear in guides
A product may appear because it fits the recipient, occasion, budget or gifting angle of the page. Commercial availability does not make a product editorially relevant by itself.
What we will not claim
- We will not say “we tested it” unless we actually did.
- We will not invent expert quotes, customer reactions or survey findings.
- We will not label a product “best” without a clear basis for the comparison.
- We will not present supplier marketing copy as independent evaluation.
Updates and corrections
When facts, availability or the usefulness of a recommendation change, we revise the visible page. Meaningful updates should also update the page modification date.
Commercial transparency
GiftsMedia may sell or commercially recommend products. The editorial job remains the same: explain why an item fits the gifting situation and give the reader enough context to decide for themselves.
